John Zada

John Zada is a Lebanese freelance writer and photographer currently based in Toronto, where he teaches Travel Writing at George Brown College.

Zada’s scope of work ranges from photography to filmmaking and scriptwriting. He has worked for several renowned TV channels, where he produced, directed and wrote a number of informative and controversial documentaries.

Zada is best known for his documentary “The Bitterest Exile,” which explores the lives of South Lebanon Army exiles living in Israel, and the one-hour documentary “Up at Dawn,” about child labor in Egypt.
