Koutaiba Al-Janabi

UK-based Iraqi filmmaker Koutaiba Al Janabi was born in Baghdad. He studied photography and cinematography in Budapest, Hungary.

An award-winning director, Janabi has directed and produced short films, documentaries and television programs.

He is best known for his first feature movie, “Leaving Baghdad,” which was independently produced in 2010 and was received with great acclaim.

Among his most famous works are “The Train”, “Still Life”, “No Man’s Land”, “Against the Light” and “Baghdadi Correspondent.”
