Lebanese filmmaker and composer Nadim Mishlawi was born in Beirut in 1980. He started studying music at the age of 10, and majored in Fine Arts at Holy Spirit University in Kaslik. He earned a Master’s degree in cinematographic studies in 2005.Mishlawi has worked as a composer on several documentaries and feature films. He also teaches Sound Creation courses at the IESAV department of Saint Joseph University.Along with Rana Eid, Mishlawi co-founded “db Studios,” a recording and audio post-production studio, in 2006. Among the films for which he has written scores are “Ghadi”, “My Last Friend”, “Stray Bullet”, “Once Again” and “The Lebanese Rocket Society.”Mishlawi’s first directorial experience was with the documentary “Sector Zero,” for which he also composed the score. “Sector Zero” won the Muhr Arab Documentary First Prize Award at the 2011 Dubai International Film Festival.
