Born in Beirut in 1975, film director Pierre Sarraf’s family fled the civil war in 1990 and settled for three years in France before eventually moving to Canada, where Sarraf pursued his studies.

Despite being a thriving and successful movie producer and director, Sarraf initially majored in Biochemistry and Business Management in Canada.

He returned to Lebanon in 2003 and established “Né à Beyrouth,” a company that produces TV ads, documentaries, short films and feature films, and has earned several local and international awards.

Sarraf also appeared as an actor in Herevé Jakubowicz’s “Bullet Time” in 2010 and the TV series “Beirut, I Love You” in 2011.

Among his directorial experiences were two very enlightening and informative documentaries, one tackling the rich life of Lebanese businessman and politician Emile Boustany, and the other chronicling the life of late Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri, earning great critical and popular acclaim for bringing to light information that haMore
