Palestinian filmmaker Sameh Zoabi was born in 1975 in the town of Iksal. He studied Film Direction and received a Master’s degree from Columbia University in New York.

Best known for his films, “Man without a Cellphone” and “Be Quiet,” Zoabi’s film “Handsome Groom” is featured in the collective feature-length documentary, “Family Albums,” which gathered narratives by four Arab filmmakers, set in four different cities, addressing the issue of identity.
