Tala Hadid is a director, writer and photographer best known for her films “The Narrow Frame of Midnight” and “Your Dark Hair Ihsan.”

Born in 1974 in Britain to an Iraqi father and a Moroccan mother, Hadid moved a lot between Europe and North Africa. However, most of her works focused mainly on issues related to the Middle East-related.

Her 2005 film “Your Dark Hair Ihasn” received an Academy Award and won the Panorama Short Film Award at the Berlin Festival, in addition to a number of other prestigious awards.

She completed her feature film “The Narrow Frame of Midnight” in 2014, which was premiered at the Tornoto Film Festival, and won the best film award and the critics’ prize award at the Tangier Film Festival.
