Wael Deeb

Lebanese Director Wael Deeb took the first steps in his career through his work as an assistant director on several films, including “Al-Wadi (The Valley)”, “Areed An Ara (I Want to See)” and “The Kite.”

He made his directorial debut with “Woojooh Ma’alikah A’ala Al-Haait (Faces Hanging on the Wall)," a documentary film that touches on the issue of Lebanese people who disappeared/went missing during the war that have become icons hanging on the wall. Through this documentary, Deeb hoped to deliver a humanitarian message and a response came from the Arab Film Festival Rotterdam, where he won the Silver Hawk award.

In addition to his work as a director, Deeb has acted in the film “I Want to See You,” to add to his knowledge art and directing in a completely integrated film.
