Lebanese actress and filmmaker Zeina Makki was born and raised in Kuwait. She moved to Lebanon in 2008 to study filmmaking at Notre Dame University.

Makki graduated from university after releasing her first short movie, “Once upon a Scent.”

In May 2012, she directed a short documentary, “Bent Not Broken,” which won the best short documentary award at the Monaco Film Festival.

Makki is known to the public as an actress, especially after her breakthrough role in the 2013 Lebanese movie “Habbet Loulou,” followed by another role in “Neswen” in 2014.
